Barcelona progressed to their eighth consecutive Women's Champions League semi-final after thrashing Spanish counterparts Real Madrid 6-0 at a refurbished Spotify Camp Nou, winning the tie by an astonishing aggregate score of 12-2.
The three-time champions are seeking to reclaim the title they lost to Arsenal last season, and after sailing through the league phase unbeaten, also cruised through their quarter-final to set up a last four meeting with Bayern Munich.
Thursday's triumph marked Barcelona Femeni's grand return to the Spotify Camp Nou for the first time in nearly three years amid ongoing renovations, as over 60,000 supporters packed the ground and were treated to an exhibition of football 'el nostre cami' - which translates as 'our way'.
Barca had already beaten Madrid five times in all competitions this season, but this particular result was perhaps the most compelling of the lot, thanks to another masterclass from Alexia Putellas on her 500th club appearance.
It was the No 11 who scored the opener and orchestrated the second, all before the 15-minute mark. Irene Paredes and Ewa Pajor were also on the scoresheet before the half-time whistle as Real were blown away by a Barca side in complete free flow. Much as they toiled, they could not get near.
Caroline Graham Hansen then scored the pick of the bunch in the 55th minute, aided by the vision of Putellas, rolling her defender and weighting a delightfully deft shot over Misa Rodriguez. Substitute Esmee Brugts tapped home a well-worked sixth before the night was out.
Barcelona will face Bayern Munich for a spot in the May's final in Oslo, while the corresponding semi-final will be contested by Arsenal and Lyon in a repeat of last year's meeting for the Gunners.
Given recent evidence, each and every team left standing will consider Pere Romeu's side a fearsome opponent. Barcelona are unbeaten in their last 27 games in all competitions - the last time they tasted defeat in Europe was in last season's Champions League final.
And there are surely few who can compete with such class this time around. Barcelona very much look the team to beat.

Record eight-time winners Lyon will face Arsenal in the last four of the competition after extra-time goals from Melcie Dumornay, Damaris Egurrola and Tabitha Chawinga secured a 4-1 aggregate win over Wolfsburg.
Trailing 1-0 from the first leg in Germany, Lyon levelled the tie through Lily Yohannes's first-half effort, and midfielders Dumornay and Egurrola struck within the space of five minutes at the end of the first period of extra-time.
Chawinga added Lyon's fourth in the closing stages of the second period.
